  3. οὐ κὰρ ἀπόσε̣τ̣ε ὁ θεὸς πάντωτεʼ τοὺς εἰς αὐτὸν ἐλπείσοντε[.] γαθὸς καὶ εἶπεν*
  4. ὀ μελλοντὼ̣ς̣ [Δ]α̣υίδʼ ὥτι ἐν θλίψει ἐπεκαλεσάμην τὼν κ[ύρι]ων καὶ ἐποίκουσεν μ[ου]*

… with gladness you call the … glorifying him, the Master Christ, that appeared for the observers … For God will not ever cast away those who hope in him, just as even David the musician says, that “In affliction I called upon the Lord and he heard me, (bringing me) into broad spaces,” and that “The Lord is a helper to me and I will not fear. What can anyone do to me?” A(nd) that “It is good to hope in the Lord rather than to hope in rulers.” And again in another (place) he says, “The Lord shepherds me and nothing will be lacking for me,” and that “He leads me in paths of righteousness on account of his name.”
